UGrad Science GPA: 3.55
PostBac Science GPA: 3.80
Grad Science GPA: 3.70
MCAT: 31O
Average to below average ECs, only some volunteering and shadowing, no awards, no leadership.

This is my list of schools.....do you think AECOM, BU, Tufts, Dartmouth, Mount Sinai are out of my league? What else would you apply to? I'm a NY resident who would prefer to stay in the Northeast. Thanks.

You look okay as long as your overall gpa is around a 3.5 and everything else is in place. Just make sure you apply early. As for aecom, dartmouth, bu, and tufts-- they're all relatively competitive schools to get into and although you have decent stats as you know this entire process is a complete and total crapshoot. The only thing I would be worried about if I were you is if your overall gpa is low (you never mentioned it in your original post) and whether or not you have anything in your application that makes you stand out from other applicants. However, you should get in somewhere this year.

Sorry, my overall ugrad gpa is just below 3.5 I believe.

Looks OK to me...good luck.

You never know who's going to accept who these days. Your scores and GPA aren't bad, but even the schools with lower average MCATs and GPAs are very competitive. It seems like the quest for the perfect EC repertoire has gotten out of control (I know it has for me!) On the bright side, I've seen some seemingly average profiles on mdapps of people accepted at the top schools. If I was in your situation I would just make sure to have an exceptional personal statement and equally impressive secondary app essays. And never underestimate the importance of a killer interview. The good news is that if you aren't accepted the first time around, you can reapply and spend the next year building up your EC's.

Good Luck!!!
