begging U! GW vs. Drexel whats the diff?

hey everyone....im tryin to decide btween a few 7 year ba/md programs...as far as GW and drexel go are there any significant differences as far as matching, curriculum quality? I checked out the drexel matches but gw doesnt disclose the list....GW is VERY expensive and if im gonna end up in the same place regardless of whether i go to gw or drexel....id rather save money along the way....PLEASEEEE HELP!!!!!!!!!

As far as matching into residencies, I see little difference in these schools. Docs in Washington may be more familiar with GW's program...the same could be said of Drexel and Philadelphia. But you're starting your first year of COLLEGE, not graduating from medical school. Drexel's linkage program is with Lehigh, right? That should weigh into your decision as well, because you'll be there two years. Do you like small cities or big cities. Both routes will be expensive so should not be a deciding factor.

Congratulations on your acceptances! I can't comment on the academic differences, but I lived in the DC area for most of my life before moving to Philly. If you are concerned about money, Philly is a significantly cheaper city to live in. The vibe of the city is much different than DC as well. It is a much more laid back place to live. I think you should just go with your gut, and decide which school is a better fit for you, and which city you would be happier to live in for the next 7 years. Good luck!

I agree that the reputations of these schools are very similar.I saw a matchlist for GWU in the recent past and it was comparable to MCP program. I would focus on the other factors.

GWU's matchlist was posted on SDN about ayear ago.I did a search but cannot now locate it.Perhaps you can start a thread asking for it.
