I was wondering when is the first day and last day (general) of the next application cycle?

First day of the 2010 cycle is June 1, 2009. Last day I think will be Feb. 1, 2010.

i applied this last cycle and was accepted and just finishing my last prereqs right now. You need most of them to do well on the dat anyways. Oh and DON'T APPLY LATE!!!!! I know the cycle closes feb of the next year, but do not wait past july/aug of this year if you are planning on applying. just my 2 cents.

So when is the earliest we can submit the app? Can we start filling it out before we are able to submit it?

i applied this last cycle and was accepted and just finishing my last prereqs right now. You need most of them to do well on the dat anyways. Oh and DON'T APPLY LATE!!!!! Just Like it was last year, you can't access the app until the first day it is open... Last year it was may 15th, now it is June 1st. That is the only major difference. I think the fee schedule changed too. I don't remember what I paid (it feels like forever ago) but this year it is "$217 for initial designation; $68 for each additional designation" (copied off ADEA website).

my advice would be to get everything ready beforehand- transcripts, essay, personal info- and then at least register on June 1st so you can see the application. If you want, fill it out then too, just make sure you don't rush and screw it up...

Yeah, they verify gpa based on what you have already done. There is a part where you input all "planned" courses, so that will all be in there. Then in late Dec and into Jan you do what is called an "academic update" where you send in your fall 2009 transcripts to AADSAS and they send it out to the other schools. Hopefully by that point, you'll be accepted anyways right? Again good luck!

I think what shes saying is that the first day for the fall 2010 cycle is June 1, 2009 and the last day for the fall 2010 cycle is february 1, 2010. if that helps.

Also, ive already started filling out my application but all the submission dates says experied. Im hoping the information will roll over for to the next cycle

i just checked th portal login site.. In bright red font is the following:

" The 2009 AADSAS Application cycle will close on February 1, 2009 (11:59 PM Eastern Time). Please submit ALL transcripts and letters of evaluation before February 15, 2009.

Please note that the 2010 AADSAS application cycle will begin June 1, 2009. Individuals who previously applied to dental school through the 2009 AADSAS application cycle and wish to re-apply for the 2010 AADSAS application cycle must complete an entirely new application. Application data from previous AADSAS Applications are not carried over to the current application cycle. You must submit a new web-based application including all new required documents."


you'll have to start a new one i think. Just print off what you have done so it makes it easier later
