Continuing my trend of pre-clinical NBME threads to get some updated info out there.

I have been through most of BRS Behavioral at this point through the course, but it looks like I'll have one full day before the exam to really review specifically for it.

What would be the best stuff to cram the day before this exam? Is First aid psych/behavioral good enough, or are BRS chapters better? Any specific topics that are extremely high yield to review?

Also, does this exam have biostats on it? wondering if it's worth the time sink to review that, though I don't see it listed on the NBME website breakdown. as usual, thanks for the help everyone!

I read through BRS Behavioral Science (along with the questions) and First Aid two days before the test and thought they were more than enough. Although by the time I took it, I was almost done with one pass of UWorld so that probably helped a lot too with the random ethics questions. Ended up with 96 percentile on the test earlier this month

The Behavioral Science shelf doesn't have biostats on it.

thanks for the post! that sounds promising, though I have zero experience with uworld or ethics really so I guess I should brush up on that lol

Update: This exam wasn't as easy as I expected, but it went well. There were a ton of random ethics and patient situation clinical vignettes, and the vignettes could be quite long. I'd definitely recommend knowing all the classic descriptions of psychiatric and personality disorders, and make sure to brush up on your ethics. I'd recommend using BRS Behavioral throughout your course and the First Aid section for psychiatry leading up to the exam. Again, know the ethics sections well, there are guidelines you should know to help you answer the "what should you do next" questions.

Result: 93rd percentile
