Interesting quote from an interview with Patrick Soon-Shiong (world's richest MD):

Q: What role models did you have for becoming CEO of a company?

A: Well, there's my father, but also being a surgeon is the best training for being a CEO. When you're a surgeon, you have to be decisive as well as pragmatic. You have to make decisions that can be life-threatening, usually with imperfect information. You do not always have all the facts in your hands. Second, you're totally dependent on your team. But if at the end of the day, if something goes wrong with the patient, you're the one responsible.

I had never heard of this guy before so I looked him up. He sounds really cool with the stuff he did with his career. And he looks exactly like Bill Gates if Bill Gates was Asian.

Surgeons and CEOs... interesting

Makes complete sense, now that I think about it. I too have never heard of this guy until now- 87th richest man in the world according to Forbes @ over $3 billion 😱

That's not a lot of money. You know you have to pay $1 billion per person to board on the ship in 2012 right.
