How much of a disadvantage will one be at if they are complete by late September or early October this cycle given the circumstances?

Sorry if this has been discussed before.

Nope.

Please spread the word. This form is getting inundated with questions like these
Sorry, @Goro but thank you for this insight.

is this true even if COVID-19 wasn't the direct cause of your delay (i.e. late mcat) ?

I have been working every day this month (80 hours this week) - I work at my hospital and we are short staffed bc of ppl that left when covid hit. Plus, we keep getting covid patients transferred in. I took off a stretch to finish my secondaries by oct 1.

Frustrated that I didn't do it earlier, but hope your insight still stands.

I'm not sure how competitive of a candidate you are or aren't, but I'd be concerned your chances have been lowered, especially with post Oct 1 completion. This is simply because it looks like you couldn't manage your time well since your app was Not so delayed due to MCAT rescheduling.

Most secondaries ask about impact of Covid and make sure to mention this. GL!
