I would call. Maybe get something showing that my flight was delayed. There's nothing else you could really do. It is what it is.

Edit: Not sure why someone would schedule their flight so close to their interview time, unless you there are extenuating circumstances. In that case, it would be wise to notify them of that in advance.

That is why you should try not to schedule your flight so close to the interview time. If possible, try to arrive the night before just to be on the safe side and maybe check out the area as well. But then again, there is always the possibility of having your flight canceled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. In that case, I would call them.

As for the OP, I know they just wanted everyones opinion, but I dont think there are many options. I know some people had to schedule flights same day as interview, though, it's always smart to book ahead of time to prepare for any issues that may arise.

What kind of late are we talking about here, minutes, hour>???
I was 10 minutes late to my ucsf inter and it was still fine because usually they go over basic stuff then the real interview begins like an hour or so....

I don't know about that statement with white males being the most discriminated against in the country. Any statistical proof from a noteworthy source?

As for the OP, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If I'm arriving anywhere near the northeast quadrant (anywhere from Boston Logan to DCA), I would choose to arrive Thurs. night for a Sat. morning interview.

Otherwise, call ahead to the school the moment you hear of your delay and work something out. You might not be the only person with a problem if arrivals are constrained at that school's home airport.

If you're going to be late, CALL!!!! If your flight's delayed because of inclement weather or something, they should understand. But if you're going to be really late, contact them immediately to let them know you are on your way. Otherwise, don't even bother going to the interview. If you don't communicate with the school, you won't be considered.
