Usually schools ask for Class II amalgam preps, Full,3/4 and 7/8 crown prep's.
It is important that you refine your hand skills because the schools are very picky about the preps. I know UOP has a manual that they have describing each prep with specifics for burs and measurements.

Do you know any institute to review the hand skills.. i heard of duggans..pretty expensive.. has anyone attended it? Any place in east coast??

Do you get UOP manual when u get invited for interview or it is something which one can just buy from their bookstore?

I know that there is Duggans in SoCal and another dentist who opens up their practice in NorCal.
Also I heard there the dental school in new jersey also has a course that is appx $5000....
Your best bet is to get your hands on a Uop OR Duggans or ANY other manual that teaches preps....you can also refer to Schillingberg and Sturdevent...however they might be a little lengthy.
