Hi Dear, I want to start prep. I am in the middle of buying stuff to set up at home. I am confused. Which compressor, turbine or other stuff to buy? Can you please recommend. I am buying burs from ebay and Hatchets are also confusing?

CAn you please suggest.

Here's what I purchased to practice for my bench tests:

California Air Tools 5510SE (affordable, quiet compressor)

Prodydent NSK Style PANA MAX High Speed Large Torque Push Button Oral Kit (cheap $20 handpiece, I bought 3 since I had one break on me)

NSKI Portable Mini Unit Compressor 4Holes +Water Bottle (about $74, this is what you hook up the compressor and handpiece to)

860 Series Dentoform : SM-PVR-860

For the burs, I purchased #330, #245, #847-016C, #856-012C, #856-016C, #556, #56. Buy plenty. I also picked up a few Azdent FG-102 crown bur kits.

For the typodont, make sure to buy replacement teeth as well. As for the hand instruments, you should be fine with basic instruments, perio probe, hatchet. I went cheap with pretty much everything since I don't expect to keep any of it long term. I would also suggest a mounting pole for the typodont (I bought one off ebay). There's a few more things here and there but that's the bulk.

Anytime. Good luck to you. Also, forgot to point out, you'll need an actual unit to hook your handpiece up to. I bought the NSKI Portable Mini Unit Compressor 4Holes +Water Bottle from Amazon for about $74. Didn't have any issues with it.

Hello guys,
Thanks for the help on what to buy for a bench test.
I have a question, should we start bench test prep now? I thought once we get interview invite(hopefully)
Please suggest, I don't know when to start preparation.
Also, do you guys have any guidance from someone for test prep, I heard about some courses but really expensive.
One more thing is that, if someone is working with general dentist then is it ok to practice there if they allow or should buy the own materials?
