Hello everyone, I wanted to do a post bac at SJSU, but unforunately I found out today it is very difficult for open university students (due to budget cuts). I was wondering if you guys had some information on Berkeley extension. I went to their website, but I can't find the number of units/which professors under the class name. In addition, I wanted to ask some of you guys how Berkeley extension is viewed by adcomms? I don't want to spend the money unless it's a legitimate way to boost my gpa.

Not a lot of people know about Berkley Extension. There has been a few threads and not a lot of information. If you didn't know already, you will be taking classes at different community colleges and not at Berkeley. Although I read that it can be a good thing since Berkeley is notorious in how difficult their science classes can be. Also, I've read that most adcoms don't know that and see Berk Extension as apart of Berkeley.

If you want to boost your GPA, that depends on you and how well you do

Search around. I believe this info I'm regurgitating is from a thread on the first page of this forum.

Not true, I am starting this program and am taking 4 classes...all on the UC Berkeley campus. You can choose where to take your classes.
