I'm looking at the Berkeley Extention program, and I don't see any pre-med courses for this summer. Has it simply not been updated? The "spring" course was Jan 27 - May 5, and I imagine the summer course, if it was going to happen, would start not too long after May 5, then?

Also, it seems the Berkeley Extention program's Intro to Chem or Chem I course does not have a lab. Is that going to be a problem for med school applications? I am under the impression that most Chem I courses in the area have a lab component.

Hi,

Here's the link for UCB Extension Pre-Health post bacc:

http://www.unex.berkeley.edu/profseq/premed.html

You'll see that all of the chemistry classes (as well as other basic pre-reqs) offer lab classes.

Summer courses typically start in June. Check the catalog again today - I did a random course search and found a course that is open for enrollment for the summer session. Perhaps they've updated it today?

Hi again! I just received my UC Berkeley Extension hard-copy summer schedule in the mail last night, so the summer schedule is definitely up. 🙂 They always update the online one before mailing the hard copies. Have fun with classes!

hey, thanks for the reply.

it appears like the summer courses are up, however, I don't think Chemistry I or Bio I, or other pre-med courses are being offered in the summer? It seems that they only offer, or usually only offer, those courses in the Fall and Spring.

What classes did you register for?
