ive heard of the oakland childrens hospital but the next orientation is like months away.. are there any other places in berkeley/oakland i can get an internship or volunteer? it doesnt matter if its far b/c i have a car.

Check out SF General, I've heard very good things.

Alta Bates Hospital on Ashby. I enjoyed my experiences there, but get to know some of the doctors so you can see more procedures.

alta bates is alright; you have to really go out of your way to see anything, but thats what being an undergrad is about. Go through FSI, you'll get a good mentor

too bad CHO doesnt have an orientation for a while, they must have a good number of volunteers these days.

but just thought i give my props to CHO. best volunteering experience ever. i'll be back one day.
