Berkeley Interview Invite

Has anyone gotten an invite to Berkeley's Interview Day this year? Any Berkeley students out there to provide some tips for interview day this year please? 🙂 How many students usually get interviewed?

So I got an invite. Up to this point, though, I was pretty much set on SUNY. I'm kind of torn on whether I should spend ~$500+ to go to Berkeley. I am pulled to at least give the interview a go because 1) Berkeley Optometry is just a part of a whole big campus, which I really dig. 2) Great reputation + Board rates 3) Beautiful weather 4) Tuition would be the same as Berkeley.

I'm doubting the practicality of going because 1) They don't have a Phd/OD or MS/OD program (not sure whether I want to do it but I like that option) like SUNY 2) I don't know if I want to practice in Cali as they are notoriously saturated with optometrists.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Maybe you should contact some of SUNY's current/recent grads from the PhD/OD or MS/OD programs and see how they feel about doing the dual degree option. Was it "worth" it for them? What are they planning to do with it in the future?
