When we look at the classic water in a closed container that flows out with v=2gh^.5, the fluid will flow horizontally the instant the water flows, and then vertically downwards, so at point does it gain a velocity in the y direction? is it safe to say that velocity changes to zero and its flows in the y-direction to gravity. It flows with velocity V until V=0?
