ohh god, the drama... sometimes i feel like people on here are in kindergarten, and then i remember that these are grown men, and attending physicians...

What's with the hospital environment and letting people with power act like bullies from middle school. Seriously, if the people pulled the type of stuff that some attendings get away with at other places of employment, they would get arrested. At my hospital i heard there was an older surgeon who got really pissed at something, slammed the surgical lamp against another lamp the light bulbs shattered and landed over a medical student who was standing under them. They both might have been scrubed at the time i don't know. When I was a med student this orthopedic surgeon, got pissed cause the nurses were giving him too big of a syringe and it hurt his hand to inject the local, so he threw it uncapped across the OR like a dart. Not to mention the multiple times that I've heard of people getting punched or head butted in the OR by a surgeon....
