I've got a pretty good topic starter. You always hear about the reputation of medschools and how some are better than others. I'm sure that this also exists for residency programs as well. So, here's the topic starter:

Name a specific field of medicine and a residency program that is considered excellent by the specialists in that field.

For example: Pediatrics. Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

If you want to spice it up, you can mention a corresponding residency that is not so good in that field.

For those of you who are infatuated with rankings of hosptials in different fields of medicine, US News(which we all know as the definitive source for all of this)jk for those who didn't pick this up as sarcastic, has published rankings again in their annual report. I gave it a glimpse and as usual, the specialities are all dominated by MD hospitals. Of course this is not to anyone's amazement considering most of those hospitals are university based and over 500 beds so they see probably 3 times as many patients as the DO hospitals. Don't forget their enormous amount of research either. Then again, I want to be a great clinical doctor and not a lab rat so take the rankings as they are(which is with a grain of salt)
