Got a request on behalf of a patient for slides to be sent out for second opinion consultation to "Best Doctors, Inc". Has anyone had interaction with this company? They are not affiliated with any academic institution and looks like they receive the cases then send them out to one of their unknown contracted pathologists. They have contracts with multiple employers to provide free second opinion consultations to their employees. They advertise that "...at least 20% of the cases we see come to us having been misdiagnosed, and our experts wind up making treatment corrections or changes in 60% of our case".
