In med school we had GI physiology separated from the ordinary physiology course. It was a part of a very big course (6 months) and only a small part of it so I really need to re-read like everything regarding GI physiology since I did not focus that much on it.

The ones I have at my home is: Guyton, Boron & Boulpaep, Big Costanzo, BRS phys.

Did you find any of these resources good on GI physiology? I really need like everything that is relevant for the USMLE step I covered.

I did BRS Physio for GI and it helped tremendously for answering UWorld GI related questions

Thanks for your reply. I will read through the BRS Physiology, I just thought if I might be better off reading from a textbook to start with. Anyway, my impression is that a lot of the GI questions on USMLE is on the hormones secreted.

Are there many questions on like peristalsis etc?
