Tabers Encyclopedia (from skyscape)
ECG Guide
Acid Plus
Lab Tests
Epocrates

I'm currently an intern and I use those programs religiously. I have a bunch of other ones I rarely use. For anesthesia... You can get PDF expert setup and put the entire millers anesthesia, barash, any other medical text you can thing of as long as its a PDF ebook. I got like 10 on there. Pretty easy to read on the display, it will be nice for the OR next year.

Of course you don't have to pay for any of it as long as you jailbreak your phone and know how to download stuff. But I would never do that 😉. And please, if you want to know how.. just Google it, don't ask me.

This app has saved me a few times on the road. 🙂
Netflix is great app too, especially on iPhone4.

I enjoy X-plane4HD version, good luck landing that 747 without 20 crashes as you get used to it. Now add some turbulence and storms. I'm a pro now! 🙂

For the medical apps, do you need to be connected to the internet to be able to make the most out of them or can you do without? I prefer a blackberry phone and maybe just get an ipod touch for the apps if internet connection isnt really necessary.

The ipod touch would have WiFi, so if your hospital has it, no problemo.
