Hi everyone,

I have just received two different job offers- one at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and one at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute in Seattle. Both jobs are research technician positions. I am planning to apply to medical school for the 2022 cycle and wanted to find out if anyone had any insight on whether one job might look better for medical school applications. I liked both P.I.'s I met with equally. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

This really comes down to whether you'd like Philly or Seattle better. Are you able to gauge how productive you'd be (pub-wise) in either lab?

Interesting! Good to hear. I believe publication productivity would be equivalent in both places as well. Thank you both for your help 🙂

One is not better than the other. CHOP is geographically closer to more med schools that the other one so interviews, if not virtual, will be far easier and cheaper from Philly than from Seattle.
Given that it's now almost 5/7, any opinion, or insider knowledge, regarding on whether interviews will be virtual at schools such as yours?? 🙂

The early smart money is on many schools being virtual.
