Im a sophomore in college and wanted to know what are the best books to buy to best prepare me for taking the dat. I wanted to study this summer and take a practice test offered by kaplan in the fall and then study the areas I didnt do hot on based on the test and take my DAT early spring. The help is appreciated.

I recommend studying Kaplan BB and your textbooks for the sciences to get a strong foundation, and then do a lot of practice problems on Destroyer and Topscore which really helps. CDP is really good for PAT. The more questions you do, the more practice you get. Good luck!!

I used kaplan, topscore, and DAT destroyer.

Topscore only works for 7 months on your computer so im not sure if you want to use that just to take a practice test. Kaplan's practice test is easier than the actual test (atleast I thought it was).
Best of luck on the DATs!!!

Im using DAT Destroyer, cliffs a.p. bio, crack the dat pat and math, Kaplan BB and top score. Hope this helps, good luck

I used Destroyer, Achiever, Cliffs AP Bio, and CDP with some class notes.

Is studying 7 months out for the DAT to far out to study? I just want to give myself ample time to go over all the material throughly and not feel rushed so I can get good scores the first time I take it and relieve that stress. any thoughts?

I think thats a great idea, if you can study a solid 3-4 hours and cover all the material several times, youll rip the DAT apart. If you think that'll take you 7 months until your ready then study for 7 months, dont take it until your ready

well I wanted to not rush because I see so many people that get to the last minute and have to rush to prepare themselves and have to take it multiple times. also in the fall I figure if I study this summer it gives me a chance to take the Kaplan practice DAT with some studying behind me so I know where I need to spend my time productively studying instead of studying everything from now till next spring. make sense?
