What is the best and most detailed drug reference app? (I.e. Epocrates, LexiComp, etc.)

Thanks

Lexicomp >>> Epocrates...Epocrates is pretty horrible and lacking in detail for medications but great at disease states & differential diagnosis.

Lexicomp app includes tons of other features like laboratory test interpretation info (drug test interactions, diagnostic results, etc.) and "5-minute clinical consult" which has tons of common ailments with treatment algorithm approaches.

Clinical pharmacology (online version) is the most detailed for drug info; I have not used the app for this however.

If you're looking for a mobile app drug reference then Lexicomp wins hands down. Features are endless and you can customize how your drug monographs are displayed to keep from having to scroll through tons of expanded info to get to what you want (preg cat for an L&D block for example). I have mine streamlined to give me US brands, MOA, therapeutic category and then everything else collapsed.

Another handy feature about Lexicomp is the inclusion of reference based compounds...I occasionally use this mostly for veterinary compounds (atenolol, enalapril, etc.); it's got the ingredients to use & beyond use date stability info.

Online version features discussion of off-label use for meds & what rationale if any (facts & comparisons). These have evidence based gradings including guideline consensus (G)
