I just recently got Crack DAT PAT. Is it really the best software or prep material out there?! Are there no other software that give you some sort of interactivity/animation? I'm just curious 🙄

hey i do think that crack dat pat is the best software out there...if you just purchased it and are feeling dissonant, i totally understand as that is how i felt as well when I purchased it...my story: took the first dat without CDP and got a 17 on pat...i thought then that i would never be able to improve my scores as it felt that PAT was something that one could not learn and that the perceptual ability was natural...how wrong i was when i soon discovered CDP...i just gave my dat this november and got a 21 on pat after practicing on CDP's 10 test version...u see the significant improvement from CDP comes from the practice u gain from doing timed tests...i suggest that you start doing the tests if you havent already...the first few are difficult but beyond test 4/5 i was able to see my scores improve from 17-18 to 20-21...in terms of interactivity, again i think your best bet would be to replay the incorrect answers until u get a grasp of where u went wrong...if u do this, u will end up well...good luck!

Thanks human instinct!! I totally agree with you. Practice does help and I've actually saw some improvement within the last two test. I was just wondering if there were any other softwares like this though. I feel like the explanations on these tests could be better. I'm into creating animation and building 3D images...have been doing it for the past 10 years. It's pretty good what crack the dat have done, but I just feel like they could do better 😛 thats just me! Thanks for the info

just wondering, but for those that used CDP, did you just use the CDP 10 test version or did you look up strategies first and then used CDP??? Cause I don't know where to look for CDP strategies =(.

oh yeah, u're right on that...there is certainly room for improvement in their animations...it did feel a bit frustrating especially on the cube folding section.

the kaplan stuff re-creates the top front end projection in 3d in the answer key. I wish others did this as well bc it is super useful in visualizing how an object translates into an orthographic projection. i really wish that this is more common in prep books. beware tho the kaplan pat stuff is about as basic as it gets so it serves as a good intro. also you can't quote me but i think DAT achiever software has 3d drawings as well. happy hunting.
