I'm really struggling in calculus and I feel like I need some outside help other than my professor (tried to get help in office hours and I couldn't understand the TA because of his thick accent/poor english, and the actual professor is never available for help). Anyone have any suggestions for the best way to learn calculus? btw I'm in first year college calculus if that helps.

Does your school have a math center where you can get tutoring? Or could you ask someone in your class or join a study group? A book I found helpful for calculus was REA's Calculus book. I think it's Research Education Associates or something like that. Big huge green book. It works through the problems step by step. Is there a solutions manual for your text you can buy?

I'd say your TA or professor office hours, or perhaps tutoring services.
