Hey - I just wanted to put my two cents in and say I DON'T like high yield - I thought it would have more CTs and stuff, but it's okay for a quick read.

High yield + First Aid + Qbank = more than enough for anatomy and neuroanatomy. Don't waste your time with something as dense and time consuming as BRS for gross anatomy - there were less than 15 q's on this on my test. For neuroanatomy, also had 15 q's. I used HY and FA fo both, and I didn't feel anything was asked that wasn't covered.

I agree...my philosophy has been to use the High Yield books for the low yield subjects...and anatomy is apparently pretty low yield. High yield anatomy is by no means exhaustive, but it is definitely efficient. It's not going to allow you to answer every possible question, but it's a lot better than sinking endless hours into sifting through denser texts.

I would not neglect studying any subject because common wisdom on SDN is that it is "low yield." I had 3-5 gross anatomy and 2-3 neuroanatomy questions per block and you won't be happy if you have the same misfortune.

For the gross anatomy questions I had, I know of no good review book. However, of the questions that could not be answered with First Aid (FA covered maybe 1/4 or 1/3) most were answerable if you took a day to skim through the blue boxes in Baby Moore and browse through an atlas to look at the general spatial relationships of structures to each other.

HY Gross Anatomy was crap for my anatomy questions -- if you took away the stuff that was also in FA there was nothing left that was useful.
