Hi,

can someone tell me which is the best review book for internal medicine?
Maybe also for some others like neuro, surgery, cardio etc.

Im not in the US, so i dont need USMLE based reviews.
I heard that "Pocket Medicine: The Massachusetts General Hospital Handbook of Internal Medicine" is the best for internal medicine review, but could be a bit difficult. Are there any better reviews?

Thnx

-edit-
forgot to ask for best question book. I think its MKSAP..

thnx for that link 🙂

problem is that the structure of the US med study is complicated (imo). i searched on wikipedia, and know about the exams, and what a resident is, etc 🙂

But what exactly is a clinical rotations? in which year of the study is it done? is it the same as a internship/clerkship?

Clinical rotations are completed during the final two years of medical school and consist of varying clinical responsibilities (usually much more as student in the US than abroad) in the Core medical fields of Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry and Pediatrics. The years will also include Family Medicine and some time for electives and further specialization in the student's field of interest (usually referred to as a sub-internship). It may be referred to as a clinical clerkship as well.

Internship is the first year of residency or graduate medical training which occurs after graduation from medical school.
