There's no such thing my dear. 😉 :luck:

Really? You'd think there was somekind of loophole foreign-trained dentists could find to work and get licensed in the united states besides taken the DDS program all over again.

Hi,
As far as I know,Minneasota state has this rule for foreign trained dentists ,tht u dont need to do a dds or ms for practising in tht state.Just give ur nbde part 1&2 and one more exam and Bingo......
For ms i think NY is easier as they dont need ur nbde scores, just gre and toefl.

drsj,

Do you know where I could get anymore info on the Minnesota/NY state policy towards foreign trained dentists. Is there a website?

Hi khan,
I dont know abt the website but a friend of mine is working there and she had to appear for part 1 and 2 and the state license exam.About the MS in NY, I found out abt that on sdn itself in some discussion abt some one getting a low GRE score but still getting accepted there.
Will try to get more info abt the minnes... state laws.

Thanks so much and keep me posted.

You may get into an MS Program in NY but that means nothing. A lot of these programs are not even accrediated by the ADA. Also you pay huge fees.

Pls stop giving wrong advice.

Thanks Ethann. That site was very helpful. Especially this part -- "Proof of actively practicing dentistry during the past two calendar years from the date completed documents is required"--

Looks like foreign grads need to undergo 2 years mandatory dental work overseas before applying for licensing.
