There are only four NBME practice tests, and one UWSA. I need to do very well on Step 2, and I would like to take several more practice tests than just those listed. Can anyone recommend other sources for practice tests that have accurate assessment of your performance?

Supposedly the free 150 from the USMLE website are good. I haven't found them yet so, if you do post a link lol.

Here's the link:
http://www.usmle.org/practice-materials/index.html

You have to download the whole tutorial(23mb).

There a few question on the real thing that were a variation of the practice questions. I think I ended up getting somewhere around 93-95% of them right. If you are thinking of doing the practice session at a center, they are the same questions. There were literally 3 questions on my practice session that were brand new.

Did you find the real exam similar at all to the free questions with respect to difficulty and stem length?

IMHO, if you take out the anxiety and stress associated with taking the real thing, the free questions might just be a little easier than the real thing(definitely much easier than Uworld). As far as length goes, comparing it with my real exam, they were about the same length, with the exception of psych questions which were maybe 2-3 lines longer.

Thanks for the response. Just to clarify, do you mean the real exam or the free questions are much easier than UWorld. Can you also share your practice test scores, exam score and the resources you used if you don't mind? Thanks.

Sorry, I meant to say that the free questions might be a little easier compared to Step 2(when you take out anxiety and other factors) but that they are definitely much easier than Uworld overall. This was my experience.

I still haven't received my test results yet, so I can't say whether my practice test scores will correlate well with the real test. I will probably post them on the thread about Uworld scores and test results(it has like 80 or so pages of people's exam experiences and practice tests). I would check that thread out. They also post what they used to study.

In general, Uworld+ a book(MTB 2/3, FA CK, Secrets, SUTS2) is what people use. Hope this was helpful.

MTB=Kaplan's master the boards for step 2 or 3
FA=First Aid
SUTS2= Step up to step 2
Secrets= USMLE Step 2 Secrets
