Hey I was just wondering what are the best subject based pathophys books? I have just been using:
Pathophysiology of Heart Disease - composed by Harvard students & Leonard S. Lilly
and noticed that i have a much better understanding of the material...

I was really wondering if there was a book that was this good for other pathophys organ based subjects... ESPECIALLY Neuro path... let me know..

Thanks!

One thing that I regret during my first two years of med school was purchasing all of these worthless books. Stick with the board review books and lecture notes. For the most part, ignore the "required reading" assigned at your school too.

sounds like you had a bad experience

modemduck,

i used renal pathophysiology: the essential by Burton, Rose, helmut, etc. and pulmonary pathophys by grippi. and a neuro case studies book (i forget the name). in addition to baby robbins. they were pretty good. we'll have to see what i use throughout the rest of the year. Since i'm not a lecture learner and we don't have a note service for all the lectures, these books helped me out for the basics. Then i stuck to the review texts for quick reviews.

good luck!!
