My school didn't do the best job of covering pharm, we went through the major mechanisms but left out fine details and drug names/specifics outside of classes. What sources are thorough or best to cover all of pharm with alot of the finer details that may have been left out but able to be gone through within a few weeks? Flashcards or a book like Lippincott. What have other people used and how did it work/is it working for boards questions. Is much time even worth it for those specifics outside of classes/mechanisms.

From what I understand, you really only need to know the pharm from First Aid (correct me if I am wrong those that have taken it), which is supposed to be sufficient. I think I may just use the lange flash cards that correlate to the meds listed in FA.

Step 1 pharm isn't that bad. You're not expected to know too many drug names (except the representative drugs from each class at most), and it's really a lot more about mechanisms.

That said, you'll see all the pharm you need from a good broad review book and a good question bank.

I didn't see anything outside of FA for pharm on my exam, but I also used Pharm Recall, especially the power review in the back.

I plan on using Kaplan Lecture Notes along with the lecture videos (which I heard are pretty good). Then for recall I have the Brenner's flash cards.

Can anyone else corroborate this?
