Hii hope all is well 🙂
I am finishing my BS degree may of 2013 and am interested in applying to optometry school. I see that its a liytle too late to apply for the fall 2013 classes but if i want to be in 2014 class i need to submit my documents starting july for most of the schools.

So i was wondeeing when did u guys started submitting ur applications. Bc ill be finishong school in may and due to my degree ill have to do hospitals rotations from Jan to May 2013 and i will be studying for my board exam as well!!!

If it was you when wld u take the OAT and when wld u submit ur documents, keeping im mind the last semester being full of rotations and studying foe national board exam?? I know the sooner u apply, the better. But having all these things i have to do to graduate i am a little confuaed when to do wt..... I greatly appreciate ur help in advance <3

What hospital rotations and boards are you taking? It's still early in the cycle to apply to optometry school for Fall 2013. The application cycle doesn't close until next June, however many schools are putting people on waitlists by February...so the sooner you apply the better. Take at least a month to really study for the OAT. If you can fill out your whole OptomCAS application through the fall, submit it whenever you finish. Then take your OAT after you have had at least a month to study hard for it (at least by the end of December). If that's your last piece, schools can process the application quickly for you and you might interview in January or February. You can also wait until the next cycle, but then apply by at least September.

Yeah, it's definitely not too late to apply for the 2013 cycle.

You can apply for 2013 cycle all the way through March of 2013. Obviously that's not ideal with rolling admissions, but I think even getting your application in by the end of August is still pretty good.

i'll have Blood bank, Clin Microbiology, Clin Chemistry and Hematology Rotations spring 2013. and then i need to take the ASCP Board exam for medical laboratory scientists as soon as school is over.
