Hello,

I am new to this site, but I am studying now for the DAT also. I am using Kaplan study material,Standard Deviants videos (chemistry, organic chemistry and Biology), Audio Learn, and the DAT Professor. I am looking at practice tests and trying to research each question. It is taking me a long time as well. I hope that I am ready to take the test in December.

how are those Standard Deviants videos???

any good would you recomend them?

Read the Kaplan book and understand it. Then do TOPSCORE PRO tests. Go over them 10-15 times... retake them... do them again. And then review the Kaplan book on any weak points. The real DAT is similar/easier than topscore. I would lean more towards the similar side but scores usually increase when you take the real DAT. I also found the Kaplan MCAT flashcards helped. I reviewed them many times. PAT is much harder on the real dat than on the topscore. So practice, practice, practice. Good luck.

GPA 3.3
science gpa 3.8

DAT AA 22
PAT 21

I read off of my university text books and followed the ada syllabus, Kaplan is missing in alot of stuff that is on the real DAT, only use it as a supplement, but the college text books as the main. For PAT and RC its basically practice, but the real thing is harder if you can't do your practice tests in the 60 mins. Gluck

Hi there! I just found this site, and I'm so glad. I am studying for the DAT. I should have taken it after Chemistry, but let's just say that life took a little detour and set me back a little. Anyway, I am REALLY rusty on everything. I have the Kaplan study guide and of course, notes and old exams. I am feeling a little overwhelmed because I don't know where to start. I don't really want to waste my time studying things I won't need. Can anyone help me focus my studying? Thanks.....I really appreciate it.
