I'm taking the DAT in about a week and I cant seem to get my QR estimated scores higher than a 17 (DAT Bootcamp). :dead:

Any tips/tricks on how you mastered this section??

Seriously. I am killing myself over QR. I am watching thattutorguy.com and skip to what I need. This algebra 2 is also really good. It has helped but still learning geo and trig and those word problems ... They will make me end up in the hospital soon. How it is possible that I know organic chemistry and not math? I can't understand this.

What problems do you have troubles with? If you have destroyer you can work through QR twice in a day and that will shoot your score way up.

The actual DAT had similar questions to the Math Destroyer so if you practice every test and go over every answer in detail, you'll naturally start improving and also practice learning the fastest way to solve a problem.

On the first math destroyer test, I got 7 wrong and it took 90 minutes but after 2 weeks I was getting only 1 or 2 wrong with 5 minutes to spare.

So by this point you should have an idea or two about your math weak spots. What I do, and it actually helps, is that I go through the subject-specific quizzes that are found below the QR exams on bootcamp, on whatever topic I have trouble with.

And of course, never neglect Math Destroyer if you have it.

If it makes you feel better, I ended up with a 21 on the actual QR while my QR average on bootcamp was an 18. What helped me the most was figuring out my weak points (for me it was combinations/permutations and stats), and then I watched khan academy videos and kept practicing. Make sure you really understand the explanations from bootcamp and know what you did wrong and why the right answer is right (very important!) Math destroyer is very helpful as well although I only got through the first 4 practice tests. The key is to keep practicing! You'll start to see similar trends in the questions and become much quicker at solving them!

How many questions did you use to get right if you timed yourself on Math destroyer

I only got about 60-70% correct on all the tests, and I did not time myself. I put a lot more into the BC practice tests because, honestly, destroyer was making me feel really discouraged. I would alternate between BC tests and Destroyer tests. However, I think if you power through math destroyer regardless of how many you get right and learn from questions you get wrong, you will certainly get a 20+ on the real thing!

It helps if you know which section of the QR you're weak in. There are 7 sections being tested in the QR: Algebra, Applied Math, Conversions, Geometry, Numerical Calculation, Probability and Stats, and Trig. Take a look at your BC QR; it has a break down. Focus on the ones that you scored poorly on. This helps you focus on the portions that you're weak at since you're short on time.
