Hi All,

So I’ve been studying for ~8 weeks now and so far have gotten through all of Cliffs, Chad’s videos (GChem, OChem, QR) and have started Destroyer (1/2 GC, 1/3 Bio, a few OC). Right now I’m at a point of not really knowing what/how to study next... I haven’t schedule my test yet ( too scared to lol … waiting to feel more confident”) but am aiming for June 10th. Would that be enough time (fyi – non trad, working full time)? More importantly, what should I be doing next? Just suffering through Destroyer (true confidence killer) and then move on to QVault or using Destroyer/QVault simultaneously? I’m just not sure when to move from one to the other…

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Go through everything one more time THOROUGHLY and I'd say go for it! 2 more weeks tops. No need to stretch out this process any longer than necessary. I never really felt confident, but I had completely lost my drive to study, so I knew I needed to get it over with!

Have you done any PAT prep? Make sure you do! Also, I'd scoot over to Amazon right now and buy Barron's AP Bio. I'd go over it once; I found it a much easier read than Cliff's! 🙂

Let me know if I can help with anything else! 😀

Thanks! So after going over everything again, should I do destroyer first then Qvault or Qvault then Destroyer?

Its hard to get a consensus on the boards... Qvualt: Bio and RC only Destroyer: GC/OC?

Schedule your test. It's easy to keep delaying due to feelings of uncertainty. It's common. Get past that and set a date so you know that you're all in.

Flip a coin between Qvault and destroyer. Order doesn't really matter at all, just that you do them and learn from them.

I'm going through the same thing right now too!! Too scared to schedule my test but I'm aiming to take it June 4th :/...signing up for it tomorrow most likely.

I finished reviewing all the material and am working my way through Destroyer...writing down every question I get wrong with the corrections to make sure I don't repeat any dumb mistakes and going over CDP.

Any other advice?

Oh and @Glimmer1991: Your DAT breakdown has been incredibly helpful. I truly hope you get into the Dental School of your choice. Thank you so much! 🙂

Just sign up for that sucker and get it over with!! It's such a wonderful feeling.

There is certainly something to be said for this. Chances are that you will never feel 100% confident. It is more likely that your confidence will actually lessen the more time you prolong the test date. Study hard, put in the time, and know that all of your hard work will pay off. If the Destroyer is really shooting your confidence, maybe get that out of the way first and finish up with DQV. Either way, learn from your mistakes and don't let your performance on the practice material affect your morale too much. If you trust the process and yourself, you will be good to go!
