Better outcome for your later interviews?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i dont know if they were better but you definitely know what to say a lot more. plus you stop caring.

i would never use an actual interview as practice, however. go to your pre-health committee and bother ppl for mock interviews. give them your amcas app to make it more realistic.

Yeah, later interviews are definitely more stress-free than the earlier ones. I just got used to the whole thing, the airplane ride, the interview day, interview itself, etc.

^ yup. i guess they are more enjoyable but at the same time you want to get out earlier too because you absolutely do not care about finaid and people who pretend to care for it. just accept me and we can discuss those things.

Same here: was nervous before the first interview, but a few minutes into it, I realized there was nothing to be worried about. I have been cruising ever since then. So the "learning curve" for me, and it seems others, was one interview.

So to the OP - prepare yourself very well. Study all the questions, and practice your answers. Know your app inside and out. And if you have access to mock interviews, do them.

Optional stuff I have been skipping. I hate these 6 hour days built around a 30 minute interview; wasting my time.

I feel the same way - there is plenty of time to hear about finaid.

I will echo what others have said. My last couple interviews were relatively low stress. After the first few I really felt prepared for any questions they were going to ask me. For whatever reason, I am much more exhausted after interview days than I was earlier in the cycle though.

Sort of an aside: don't worry about cramming in too much practice before these things. Remember, after all, it is simply a conversation. Overthinking it is what throws most people off. Answer honestly and naturally and you'll be good.
