Hi guys. I am registered to take the MCAT at the end of June but because I had so many classes to worry about as well as upcoming summer classes I don't think I will be ready, and I want to be fully prepared before taking it. If I take the MCAT in August or September, and then submit my application in September/October, will that be considered late? Thanks in advance!

Do a bit of searching and reading on SDN for details and suggestions for applying and on a throw-away school/completing your application. Also read on what is competitive gpa/etc wise.

Most schools get their majority of apps in the end of July and Aug/Sept and requirements/cutoffs can tighten at that time. So if you are borderline gpa/etc then that is actually late. If your other stats are ok do well on the MCAT, as submitting with a 500 in October won't get you much love.

For DO and avg to good stats

Early <~July
On time = End of July/Aug/Sept (If your scores are really good Oct is even fine)
Late(ish) > Oct, Nov, ~Dec
Late >Dec

Only attempt the MCAT when you are confident about success.
