i note that several medical schools either recommend or require an undergraduate course in biochemistry. i also realize that if i take biochem during the senior year schools may not see my grade in that course when evaluating me. if i take biochem in the senior year do med schools realize that I am taking it -- (do i have to list senior fall courses on AMCAS if filling out summer before senior year)? is it more impressive to get it out of the way during junior year and have an A grade? thanks.

I would definitely recommend taking biochemistry junior year. Not only will it look good on your transcript, but it's a great class to bring everything together before you finish off any upper level requirements senior year. But definitely try to do well in it. If you have a full plate junior year and don't think you can get an A, it's probably better to put it off a year and just explain that you're taking it when you're interviewing.
