For those that attend more prestigious allopathic schools, do any of you regret it? Would purposely going DO be a viable strategy?

What I'm asking is which would be better for getting into a competitive specialty:

A. Being a decent student at an allopathic school.

or

B. Being a real standout at an osteopathic school.

Wouldn't it be easier to be a big fish in the DO match?

i think this would be a poor choice. if you work hard enough you can usually get a residency in your field of choice as an md. the reverse is not always true.

I choose option C - dominating whatever school you really want to go to.

Not going to debate DO vs MD here. Do a thread search but this is now closed.
