Hi guys. This is the situation.

For the question asking about my manual dexterity, I wrote that "I have a fast typing speed of approximately 200 words per minute" which is completely not true. (The worlds record is appox. 200 words per minute, btw...).

I intended to say "100 words per minute," but I made a typo...
I proofread several times before e-submitting, but I focused too much on grammar mistakes, and not spelling typos as MS words program detected any typos for me..

I know it was careless of me, but is there anyway that I can make a correction?
I e-submited mine last week, and sent my transcript only few days ago, so AADSAS hasn't received nor verified my GPA/transcript. I think my application has not been processed yet.

I read some threads saying that AADSAS can unsubmit application if it has not been processed. Is this correct? I called AADSAS a minute ago, and the answering machine said they close today for professional development.

What should I do now? I am afraid of being looked as a big liar... Any suggestions??

Call AADSAS tomorrow, if that doesnt work call/email each school. I think email MAY be better in this situation

You don't contact schools about this stuff. And AADSAS isn't going to fix a typo for you. That's all this is. Just let it go. No one is throwing out your app for being a liar. They'll probably just laugh because your talking about speed, but your accuracy isn't so hot. You're fine.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure most people that read your application won't even know that 200 wpm is basically unobtainable.

And if they don't laugh, you can use Jeffity's joke regarding high speed but seemingly less than perfect accuracy.

Its not like you made up something you didn't do or weave a web of lies. Its just a small typo so don't worry much about it. Honestly if any interviewer or school really thinks you are impressive for just 200 wpm typing, they need to refocus their "Criteria for good prospective dental students" quite rigorously. They will call you up for interviews based on the rest of your app I'd hope!

In your secondaries, you could just put in a small note saying you made a typo.

Haha that gave me a good laugh...I'm sure they'll just laugh about it.

Yeah i screwed up too and left the whole section blank. I really don't have any manual dexterity skills though, and I didn't want to stretch the truth even though I probably should. Oh wells, I'm not sweating. Move on.

Edit: I did put research as my manual dexterity in the PS. If anything I'll just say I didn't want to repeat it.
