I am westcoast (non-CA) resident interested in Majoring in Neuroscience and Pre-med and am accepted to following

CWRU with 25K Merit scholarship (no Neuroscience major - so will pick Bio/Psych)
UCLA ; UCSD and USC - no scholarship/aid, out of state, so hv to pay full 50K+

California colleges look attractive because they are better ranked, closer, good locations, but CWRU's 25K grant seem to be offsetting that and forcing me to seriously consider it.

what do you think ?

appreciate any guidance from Pre-meds or MDs on the forum..

Take the Case-western scholarship. They have a great medical school, it will be cheaper in the long run, and its a good school. Your school doesn't matter, but your GPA does, and remember, Cleveland is only a flight away from anywhere...

I concur with the above.

Cheaper is better, and in CA you will be dealing with PreMed craziness at its finest. That, coupled with no scholarships, and a crazy competitive state-school pool... Go to CWRU. Ohio has some awesome medical schools, and they are much more accesible.
