MD & DO Bilingual Hispanic with uGPA 3.4, gGPA 3.4, MCAT 503.

Hi, so I retook my MCAT and I got a 503. Last time I took it was in 2014 and I got a 21 (ouch). So here's some of my stats:

Background: I lived in 4 different countries (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and now US). Low socio-economic status. Overcame a lot of obstacles to come to the U.S. Bolivian-American and Ohio resident.
Undegrad GPA: 3.4
Grad GPA: 3.4 Master of Science in Medical Physiology
MCAT: 503
EC:
-300 hours of clinical volunteering (ER, Oncology & Nursing care center)
-Every Christmas from 2007-2015, volunteered at a pediatric hospital in Bolivia (Approx. 700 hours total).
-Many hours teaching English to Syrian, Somali, and Burmese refugees.
-Taught science experiments to Hispanic immigrant kids for after-school programs
-36 hours physician shadowing (MD and DO)
-One summer teaching English to 5th grade children in Chile.
-Spanish tutor in undergrad.
-100+ hours volunteering at a veterinary clinic in Bolivia.
-Vice-President of LINK (Liberty in North Korea) for 4 years during undergrad. We raised money to help relocate North Korean refugees.
-Marketing Director & Designer of Friendly Lunch (student organization that helps freshman meet other people by setting up lunch dates).
-Spring break in Birmingham, Alabama volunteering for Habitat for Humanity.
-Red belt in Taekwondo.
-TA in Organic Chemistry 1
-TA in Organic Chemistry 2
-TA for a Philosophy class for 2 years.
-Several hours cleaning out homes affected by floods.
-Work experience for 2 years.
-Hobbies: Soccer, Drawing, Painting, Knitting, Martial Arts, Mountain Climbing, running (2 5ks)
-Some scholarships.

School list: I got FAP, so I want to apply to at least 16 MD schools
All Ohio schools (except Case Western because I doubt they'll even look at my app).
Wayne State
Commonwealth
West Virginia
Meharry, Morehouse and Howard. I love their mission.
George Washington (UBER REACH but my number 1 dream school)
DO schools (PCOM-PA, PCOM-GA, NYITCOM, OHSOM, WVSOM, DMU, VCOM-VA and ...?????)

I wanted to update this post since I lurked through a lot of WAMC posts during my 4 application cycles, and maybe this will help someone else with similar demographics + stats.

I got 5 total interviews (3 MD, 2 DO): Wayne State University, University of Vermont, New York Medical College, OUHCOM, and NYITCOM (I did not attend this one).

2 Acceptances: OUHCOM and Wayne State. 🙂
