Hey guys i ran into this problem on Qvault, i was wondering if someone can explain this to me.

Question is :
Which is false regarding the benthic zone of aquatic biomes?

A. The benthic zone can be part of the aphasic zone.
B.The benthic zone cannot be a part of the photic zone.
C.the benthic zone is home to organism that feed on detritus.
D.Temperatures are typically cooler in the benthic zones
E.Benthic zones can be found in both freshwater and marine environments.

So the answer is B, but i don't understand why.
Initially i remembered from reading Feralis that no light can penetrate into the benthic zone because its so deep down and so based on that B was the first one i crossed out because the answer says which is false..

The benthic zone is the lowest layer. The photic zone is how far the sun light can reach. So the benthic zone is too far down so the sunlight can't reach it.

I think the explanation is that the benthic zone is the lower layer. However, the lowest layer can still be penetrated by light, like if the body of water is really shallow.
