What is the difference between the lytic cycle and the productive cycle??

What is the difference between the lytic cycle and the productive cycle??

Lytic and Lysogenic(productive) Lytic, destroys host cell. Lysogenic uses host cell replication mechanism to multiply its DNA without killing host cell. Hope that helps

u mean lytic and lysogenic?

lytic is the stage in which virus integrate their foreign DNA into bacterial DNA..bacteria replicate with viral genome..cell burst and virus are free

lysogenic, infected cell (same process as lytic) but remains dormant. if u get stressed, or sick..then that triggers the cell to rupture.

So the lysogenic and the productive are the same thing????

during the lyosgenic cycle in a prokaryote the viral dna is referred to as prophage and in eukaryotes as provirus.
