Hey All
Im Applying For 2008 Admission

I Am Wondering If Biochem Is A Must Take For Admission To Dental Schools
Im Thinking Of Applying To Columbia, Nyu, Penn, And Tufts
Well I Got One Semester Left In My Undergrad Program And Havent Taken The Biochem Yet And My Schedule For The Term Is Almost Full

I Would Like To Know What My Fellow Pre-dent Students Are Thinking About This
Is Biochem Necessary? If So, Would It Look Bad If I Take It At Other Institution After Graduation?

Thank You All

Look at each schools requirements, they are all a bit different.

Can someone please tell me what is the purpose of capitalizing the first letter of every word? It hampers the typing speed, looks awful, and isn't easy on the eyes when reading.

Why do tweens do this?

Even if its not required, I think you should atleast take the introduction to biochem course... you will gain a lot of good information that help you understand other courses you take in the future.

I Have No Idea Why People Type Like This Moistener. It Is A lot Harder Typing Like This...😱

Some require it, most dont. Its a good course. I'd take it to cover your bases and boost your transcript if nothing else.

Out of the schools you mentioned, Tufts is the only one that requires it. And while NYU, Columbia and UPenn dont require it, they all strongly suggest you take it.

DEFINITELY take Biochem. It will help you immensely once you are actually in dental school. Columbia doesn't require it, for example, but in their acceptance letter they say that it is highly highly recommended. Hope this helps 🙂

It's an automatic feature of the message board software that converts a MESSAGE WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS to A Message Written In All Caps.

It could have been worse 👎

haha, thanks! that has been bothering me for ages, but I've always been too lazy to actually research it. 😉

That opens another can of worms... why do people think their message is going to get any more attention if they write in all caps? Either way, it's annoying.

OP, biochem won't hurt to take. You'll have to take it eventually.
