Haven't taken biochem yet and i'm wondering what are some must know topics that I should teach myself before taking the DAT. IE should I memorize enzyme/molecule pathways of metabolic cycles and stuff like that? Or are the chances of something like that being on the DAT so small that I should focus more on bigger topics like general bio?

They might ask you a very basic question about proteins, amino acids, carbs, fats. Nothing too wild, don't focus on biochemistry because they will never ask you any questions about the pathways.

I wouldn't completely rule it out. Some topics of basic biochemistry are not out of the realm of possibility. According to the 2017 ADA DAT Guide, enzymology and photosynthesis are still testable. You probably do not need to go too in depth, but be aware of the basics. Best of luck!
