Next year I need another series to double up with Anatomy & Physiology. I was thinking either Biochemistry or Microbiology... Neither of which are Pre-Reqs of course, though.

Which would you suggest would be more helpful to take?

I would definitely go with Biochem... Although Micro is interesting, I am sure Biochem will be more useful for MCAT and a brief intro is never bad for when it comes to med school...

Going through my schedule again I do have the opportunity of just taking 3 individual classes (i.e. Genetics)

Biochem, Micro and Genetics...

Sorry maybe I should clarify...

Biochem is a three class series (all year)
Micro is a two class series (two quarters)
Genetics and "Cell and Molecular" Biology are just one term each

Why do you need both semesters of biochem? Either way cell and molecular biology would be a good thing to take. As for Micro I'm biased as I would suggest that. Though biochem would probably be more helpful for the MCAT you aren't going to remember much at all of the pathways if that is how the course is taught. (Rendering it useless and painful). I thought there was a lot more conceptual information that was new to me in undergrad microbiology despite me being a biology major.

Ditch A&P and take micro and biochem...IMO
