Granted, there are only a few of us who have to take this cursed test. Anyway, I received my results in the mail today. I got a 740, but I was SURE when I came out of the test that I bombed it (combination of ungodly difficult test with a room temperature of about 45 degrees).

Anyone else get their scores yet?

I took mine October 10.

I can't seem to find any info on what is a good score. The only info I can find (which is encouraging) is the mean score for WV students at UGA, which is 573.

Your percentiles overall and on each section should be listed along with your scores. They were when I got my score report...

Based on my percentile I'd say that you could be over 70th or so with that score.

Yea, but I'm more interested in what's considered competitive for grad schools. Over all I'm at the 75th percentile (84th percentile in organismal biology).

When I was applying to PhD programs, people just didn't send the subject GRE scores unless they were a) REQUIRED by the program or b) over 70th percentile, if that matters.

Hmm... too bad I'm not particularly interested in getting my PhD.
