Not at all. What made you think you needed Biostatistics?

It counts as stat requirement for some schools.

And OP, no. Statistic is not in the MCAT. You should get all pre-req done before applying though.

Is it required for the MCAT or is the title of the class Cell Bio?

Then it probably won't help you.

I didn't use any stats on the MCAT. Although, it was an easy course at my school and did help my science GPA.

Lol when talking about supplemental classes for mcat, this is the first time ive seen biostat mentioned

Okay. That wasn't what I was asking him though.

Oooooh....

I guess some people don't bother looking at MCAT info online. Having people spoonfeed you the answer in the forum is way easier.

Biochem and physio are far more important. In general I found alot of bio on the MCAT came down to practicing alot of their experimental passages.
I fell like undergrad biostatistics is alot of useless stuff like how to run a T test by hand, blegh. Anyway didn't think I needed it for the MCAT
you only have so much time to study and while having a broad knowledge basis is helpful its the high yield stuff you need to worry about!

Any math that shows up on the MCAT is in physical sciences and can be done in your head.

I would just take biostats to fulfill the requirement at the schools that require it. For MCAT math, just know scientific notation and basic estimation in your calculations.
