Both for MD and DO schools, it seems a minority of schools require the to be on a letterhead? I guess this isn't a major issue, but if you have to have the letter signed as well and then uploaded to Interfolio... it seems to make it a hassle.

So one of my profs I don't believe has any exp writing LORs for this. Are the following steps correct?

1) LOR typed out on word file w/ letterhead

2) Letter is printed out and signed

3) Letter is scanned because of the signature

4) Image file of letter uploaded to Interfolio

5) The letters are now in my control to send them off

Is there a more efficient way to do it to meet all requirements? And is there anything of significance the prof needs to put down on the letter like my amcas ID.... or do I do that via interfolio?

Since a couple DO schools want the AACOMAS ID printed and a couple MD schools want the amcas ID... is the prof able to just upload 2 different versions of the same letter onto interfolio? One with each ID.

Thanks guys

I don't know about interfolio (I just used AMCAS letter service), but in terms of the signature, just about all professors have electronic signatures (or should have them!) so that they don't need to print/scan every time. But otherwise, regarding the letterhead and signature, that's correct.
