Hi to GP and other path folks,

What's the skinny on this fellowship? Is it competitive? What's the salary like? Where does one end up practicing?

The career path for this fellowship is now 3 years of clinical pathology then 1 year fellowship. The fellowship is not competitive.

The only path fellowships that are competitive are derm path and cytopath.

Salaries are in the mid 100s or more depending on the situation.

Opportunities:
Large pathology private practice running the clinical path side of things.

University and major hospital settings.

Red cross or other blood provider.

Running apheresis centers as well.

Maybe some work for companies who make blood products.?
